The Maitrayana Brahmana Upanishad is also many a times called as Maitrayaniya Upanishad (Devanagri: मैत्रायणीय उपनिषद्) or Maitri Upanishad is one of the primary Upanishads. It belongs to the Maitri or Maitrayaniya shakha i.e. branch of the Krishna Yajur Veda. Some references assign it to Sâmaveda.
